What is this Class?
This class follows my Three-Step Plan to becoming pain-free: Inhibit, Stretch, Strengthen. We’ll use an integrated approach to wellness by combining all three steps into one session. You’ll learn how to release muscle tension, restore flexibility, and build strength to break the injury cycle and move pain-free.
Tools Used: Yoga mat, foam roller, and high-bounce pinky ball. Please bring your own yoga mat; all other materials will be provided.
This class is located inside Nook on 11853 Lebanon Rd. Mt. Juliet

What is Inhibition?
Inhibition is the first step in breaking the pain cycle by resetting the nervous system and releasing muscle tension. When muscles are overactive, they create imbalances that lead to pain and restricted movement. By using foam rollers and high-bounce pinky balls, we’ll apply pressure to trigger points, signaling the nervous system to relax and restore proper function. This prepares the body for stretching and strengthening, allowing for better mobility and pain-free movement.

What kind Stretching will we do?
Stretching in this class focuses on full fascial meridian stretching, a method that goes beyond isolated muscle stretching to target entire chains of connective tissue running throughout the body. Fascia is a network of connective tissue that links muscles together, and when one area is restricted, it can cause pain and dysfunction elsewhere.
By stretching along these fascial meridians, we improve full-body mobility, relieve tension in multiple areas at once, and restore natural movement patterns. This approach helps prevent injuries, enhances flexibility, and ensures that your body moves efficiently as a whole. We’ll focus on key areas like the hips, spine, shoulders, and legs to promote better posture, alignment, and pain-free movement.

How hard will this be?
This class is for all levels because you control the intensity. During inhibition, you decide how much pressure to apply with the foam roller and pinky ball. For stretching, you go only as far as your body allows; here are no difficult yoga poses. The strengthening portion is gentle, focusing on stability and mobility, not high-intensity exercise. The goal is to help you move pain-free and with better control, no matter your experience level.
Introductory Offer in Effect
In your first session, you will receive a thorough assessment that includes a detailed posture analysis, a localized Range of Motion check, and muscle grading to look for any weaknesses in the muscular system. We then proceed with a customized 30-minute treatment that starts with muscle scraping, cupping, and of course the manual therapy throughout.
